One of the most talented players in Season 2 of Last Chance U that did not get enough attention was linebacker Dakota Allen. The Texas Tech Red Raiders released Allen from their program in 2016 but announced his return to Lubbock just seven months later.

According to SportsDay, Allen is already becoming a defensive leader for Texas Tech just one month before the kick off of the 2017 season. It’ll be awesome to see a player like Allen have such a big spotlight on them with multiple games nationally televised this year. He’ll get the chance to play against some of the best offenses in the country, too, since he’s playing with a Big 12 team.

With such a great EMCC defense in 2016, it’s hard to imagine that they could be much better in 2017. Fans will have to take it on themselves to see how the EMCC defense will fare this season since Netflix is moving on from Scooba, MS.
