This could be one of the best games of the season — a matchup between two teams that very well may be in the top ten, and what could be a de facto playoff elimination game.

We’ll predict that the Dawgs’ miracle run ends here. The addition of new quarterback Jarrett Stidham should transform a competent Tigers attack into a fantastic one, and UGA just won’t have enough firepower to go point-for-point at Jordan Hare.

Auburn’s young defensive front is talented enough to neutralize Chubb and Michel, and Stidham, will have ample opportunities to pick apart against the Bulldogs’ secondary. Auburn jumps off to a hot start, and survives a late comeback bid from Eason, as the young quarterback eclipses 300 yards passing in a noble effort.

The Dawgs fall in SEC play for the first time all season, but keep their eyes on the SEC Championship Game for a potential rematch on a neutral field. Even though the winning streak is over, the season certainly isn’t.

Final Score: Auburn 31, Georgia 21 (8-2, 6-1 SEC)
