Duke Blue Devils

2006 impact player: Phillip Alexander, RE #48, 86 overall
Today: QB Daniel Jones

I have no idea who Phillip Alexander is, or was, and man Duke stunk in 2006. David Cutcliff is a legend and deserves a statue next to Coach K’s for even making that program viable. They hit a rough spot in 2016 but things are looking up. It’s a hard place to find 25 guys that can play top quality football and be that academically strong.

Duke quarterback Daniel Jones hit it big in 2016. While the Dookies didn’t win a ton of games, Jones looked like more than a freshman throwing for 2,800-plus yards, rushing for almost 500 yards combined with 23 total touchdowns. Jones is definitely the Devils’ impact player.

While he’s not preseason All-ACC he definitely will be after Jackson and Francois are out of the picture. Jones has a ton of upside and he’s a guy that would’ve been fun to play with in the NCAA series as he has a strong arm, can run, and is on a team that needs some work.
