4. Huskies win the Pac-12

USC seems to be everyone’s favorite to win the Pac-12 in 2017, Washington has a great chance to win the conference — again. While it is rare to repeat as Pac-12 champion, Stanford did so in 2012 and 2013.

One of the biggest advantages for the Huskies over the Trojans is schedule. USC had a far more challenging non-conference slate, faces Stanford in the second game of the season and plays Washington State on the road. The Trojans are fully capable of capturing the Pac-12 South, but the schedule is challenging to say the least.

If the Huskies beat Stanford on the road, the team has a shot to run the table before moving on to the Pac-12 championship game. Such a feat would surely give the team a confidence boost if the Huskies should face the Trojans.

On paper, the two programs are the most talented teams in the conference, but most of the spotlight goes to USC. The team shared most of the Pac-12 preseason hype in 2016 with Stanford and that worked out well for the Huskies.
