After two successful seasons, Netflix documentary ‘Last Chance U’ has been renewed for Season 3 in a new location.
If you love college football, you’d realize that there are ways to pass the time during the offseason that are still related to the sport. One of those is by watching Netflix documentary series ‘Last Chance U’ which has followed JUCO powerhouse East Mississippi Community College for two seasons.
Following the conclusion of Season 2, it was uncertain as to whether the documentary would return for Season 3.
On Thursday, it was confirmed that the show was renewed for a third season, but it would be taped in a different location. No longer will the filmmaker document East Mississippi C.C., but rather Independence C.C. in Kansas.

In case that wasn’t enough, Last Chance U filmmaker Adam Ridley posted this on Twitter:
Yes it's true. We're in Kansas. #LCU3 pic.twitter.com/owqJzlWTHH

While there will still be excitement for the show, it’s not going to have that same feel in the way it did while at East Mississippi. The best part of the show was watching head coach Buddy Stephens lose his mind after players talk back to him. He vowed to give up cursing in Season 2, but it didn’t work out well.
It wouldn’t be all that surprising if we later found out Stephens declined to host the film crew for a third season. He didn’t seem to like the cameras in his face all the time.
Fans of the show will have to wait until next summer, obviously, to take in the third season.

Will Season 3 at Indy C.C. be as good as the first two seasons at EMCC? It’s possible, but it has a lot to live up to.
