No. 39: Stevie Wonder – Superstition

Year Released: 1973
Billboard Hot 100 Chart Peak: 1

Stevie Wonder shouldn’t be left off any playlist, and if you’re looking for number one songs, then you have a lot to choose from. Superstition was Wonder’s first number one hit, and it spent 16 weeks on the Billboard chart when released in January of 1973.

This song has a passive connection to football, as Budweiser used the song in an NFL promo focusing on the various superstitions fans partake in before and during games.

It’s funky song with a great hook, and another one on the list that begs for your fellow party-goers to get up and dance for a few minutes.
