No. 31: Quiet Riot – Cum On Feel the Noize

Year Released: 1983
Billboard Hot 100 Chart Peak: 5

A hard-rocking ’80s staple, Cum On Feel the Noize is an attention-grabber for people meandering by your tailgate party. It’s loud, it has a perfect hook, and chorus lyrics with which everyone can scream along.

You could alternately use Quiet Riot’s Metal Health (Bang Your Head) if you were so inclined. Either plugs in nicely, but Noize has a little more of an upbeat party feel to it.

Beware of partygoers who like to mess with the lyrics on this one (“Girls grab your boys” is frequently adapted to a little racier verb). They could make things a bit uncomfortable for families and kids who may be nearby.
