No team had a more impressive result than Colorado State with their 58-27 victory over Oregon State. The Rams made a statement to the PAC-12 and Power Five Conferences that they belong at the level of major conference competition.

Colorado State takes on the Colorado Buffaloes, their in-state rival, next weekend. Quarterback Nick Stevens showed that he has the ability to defeat Colorado. Stevens threw for 334 yards and three touchdowns against the Beavers.

The rushing attack helped Colorado State’s passing game with nearly 200 yards and three touchdowns. The Rams have a very balanced offense that could compete for a Mountain West Championship in 2017.

Stevens will be one of the best Group of Five quarterbacks when it’s all said and done this year. Any QB that proves his worth against Power Five competition on the national stage in Week 1 like Stevens did against Oregon State deserves a good amount of hype.
