C.J. Beathard’s departure will be devastating for the Iowa Hawkeyes. The last time Iowa and Ohio State met was 2013. Iowa started eventual Michigan quarterback Jake Rudock. Ohio State defeated the Hawkeyes 34-24.

Iowa could possibly be a six or seven win team. They don’t have the roster to compete for a Big Ten Championship. Head coach Kirk Ferentz did some impressive things of late with the program. Iowa even went to a Big Ten Championship Game in 2014.

This game comes right after Ohio State’s meeting with Penn State. Ohio State is sure not to overlook this game, especially if they come short against the Nittany Lions. Barrett has not faced the Hawkeyes in his career.

Two of the better fan bases in the Big Ten will be ready for this. Iowa fans will be loud and supporting their Hawkeyes in full force. Ohio State will take care of business away from home.
