Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney just received a major contract extension after winning the Tigers’ their first National Championship in decades. He’ll be around for another eight years while Clemson is going to pay him $54 million over that span of time.
The biggest obstacle for Clemson is replacing legendary quarterback Deshaun Watson who is now with the Houston Texans. Junior quarterback Kelly Bryant leads Clemson into this season with little starting experience. He could be replaced by Zerrick Cooper or former five-star recruit Hunter Johnson in a short period of time if he does not perform well.

Clemson needs to win against Auburn if they want to have any chance at returning to the Playoff. The ACC is just too tough this year for a slip up in the non-conference schedule. Running backs C.J. Fuller and Tavien Feaster should not miss a step without Wayne Gallman on the roster.
A lot of Clemson’s success will rely on how they are able to fare against conference foes like the Florida State Seminoles and Louisville Cardinals. They could also be put on upset alert against the South Carolina Gamecocks, NC State Wolfpack and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
