Without head coach Tom Herman or quarterback Greg Ward, Houston is ready to usher in a new era in their football program. Former offensive coordinator Major Applewhite takes over as head coach with Herman leaving for the Texas Longhorns.

Houston’s out of conference schedule includes Power Five opponents like the Arizona Wildcats and Texas Tech Red Raiders. In conference, Houston’s toughest opponents include South Florida, Temple, and Memphis.

Texas A&M transfer quarterback Kyle Allen takes the reigns for the Houston offense. He has big shoes to fill with Greg Ward now a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. However, Allen was once a five-star recruit with the potential to be the face of the Aggie football program.
