USF is the only non-Power Five team ranked in the top 25 of the Amway Coaches Poll. With senior quarterback Quinton Flowers and running backs D’Ernest Johnson and Darius Tice leading the way, the Bulls could have one of the very best offenses in the country.

South Florida is the favorite to make a New Year’s Six Bowl out of all the Group of Five teams. They have the pieces in place to actually make a run at an undefeated regular season. Taking care of Temple and Houston are the biggest challenges for USF.

The biggest question remains if USF goes undefeated would they have the credentials to get into the College Football Playoff field. The answer to that question is probably not. Since USF does not have a single opponent that would probably finish the season in the top 25, they would not have the resume necessary to get in over a Power Five conference champion.
