Oklahoma State Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Tulsa
By Matt Workman
1. Points — lots of points
No matter who quarterback is, the Tulsa offense will be effective. Tulsa utilizes most of the most explosive tendencies of Briles’ system. In 2016, Tulsa receivers averaged 14 yards per completion. The Golden Hurricane are hoping that its offensive can expand on numbers that it accumulated in 2016.
There is no doubt that the Cowboys’ offense will be productive. James Washington and Mason Rudolph expect to keep the offensive explosiveness rolling in 2017. Rudolph is an aggressive quarterback who averaged nine yards per pass last year.
Oklahoma State and Tulsa will be a shootout with many points scored. Both of these teams have been in high-scoring games before and it was fun to watch. I expect to see a lot of points on Thursday as college football storms back that night.
Next: Oklahoma State game by game predictions
This will be a fun game to watch regardless of what team you root for. Two fun offenses looking to score points and make an impact. Oklahoma State wants to set a tone for its season. Tulsa wants to build on progress already made my Phil Montgomery and his staff.
