No. 2 – UCLA goes undefeated at home in conference play

To  balance out their woeful road performance UCLA will hold serve on their home turf. Three of their four wins in 2016 came at home, even if they came against Arizona, Oregon State and UNLV.

The Bruins’ 2017 home slate is as favorable as their road schedule is challenging.

Sep. 30 vs. Colorado
Oct. 21 vs. Oregon
Nov. 11 vs. Arizona State
Nov. 24 vs. California

Their first PAC-12 game at the Rose Bowl comes against Colorado, a team that is in rebuild mode after losing so many veterans from their 2016  PAC-12 South Championship team.

Oregon is a hard team to project this year. New head coach Willie Taggart has high expectations, but the roster is still composed of the same players that won just two conference games a year ago.

Arizona State and California look to be much more manageable. The games are all the way out in November which makes the tricky to project. However, ESPN FPI tabs the Bruins as heavy favorites (more than an 80 percent chance of victory) in both contests.
