The non-conference slate gets easier. East Carolina is next in line after Virginia Tech. Grier has his way with ECU’s secondary. It gives his stat line the first big boost. Delaware State comes to town after.

Crawford could have a bigger day. ECU was a three-win team. There’s not a chance for them. West Virginia and ECU are moving in opposite directions. QB Gardner Minshew should be the starter. He has trouble against WVU’s secondary.

West Virginia does not face a quality opponent after Virginia Tech until Week 5. Kansas is not a quality opponent. An undefeated WVU makes for a huge game against TCU. Grier could have 1,000 passing yards by then.

Running back Kennedy McKoy could get some work here. Crawford is gone with a huge lead. McKoy is a breakout star waiting to happen.
