1. Kizer gives Hue Jackson a fresh start

Browns head coach Hue Jackson, the proclaimed quarterback whisperer, has not been given much to work with since joining the Browns last year. Since arriving in Cleveland, Jackson has worked with the likes of RGIII, Josh McCown, and Cody Kessler. As one could see, not exactly a star-studded position.

With the exception of Kessler who showed some flashes last season, Jackson had to try to reboot the careers of two players who had already solidified their playing styles. Jackson did well when he inherited both Joe Flacco and Andy Dalton in the early stages of their careers, setting up for an interesting run with Kizer.

Kessler did decent in his limited playing time last year and will serve as a safety net for Jackson should things go south with Kizer. This should allow Jackson to go into Kizer’s development headstrong, likely giving fans a good look into just what Jackson is capable of bringing to the table.

Again, Kizer has all of the right tools for the job, it’s only a matter of whether he and the coaching staff can utilize them properly. Jackson has witnessed both successes and failures during his time working with quarterbacks, so we’ll wait and see in which category Kizer will fall.
