3. PAC-12 South take notice

Colorado and Utah seem to be the forgotten teams of the PAC-12. Both competed at the top of the PAC-12 South. The Buffs should be better than the Utes but both will give USC a good challenge in the division.

The favorites to walk away with the PAC-12 Title seem to be USC, Washington, Stanford, and Washington State. Washington did not look great in their opener. However, the Stanford Cardinal looked fantastic when they faced the Rice Owls in Australia.

The Buffs slipped under the radar last year. This year, they have a target on their backs. Opposing teams will be better prepared for what head coach Mike MacIntyre and the Buffs have to offer. Yet, they handily defeated a very good Group of Five program in Colorado State.

If Oregon State proves to be a competitive team this year, that directly correlates to a positive outlook for Colorado. Not only should they compete at the top of the PAC-12 standings, no one should be surprised if they make it back to the conference title game.
