1. Irish dominate the trenches

Notre Dame has one of the most experienced defensive lines in college football. Led by defensive end Jay Hayes and nose guard Jerry Tillery, the Irish have quite a bit of NFL talent on the line. Tillery is the only junior, the other three starters on the defensive line are seniors.

Temple does not have much proven experience in the backfield. Sophomore quarterback Logan Marchi takes over for former Temple star P.J. Walker. Junior running backs Ryquell Armstead and Jager Gardner could have a rough going.

The linebacker group for the Irish is almost as strong as the defensive line. As long as the front seven can stay healthy, they could dominated most opposition. Led by senior Nyles Morgan, Notre Dame has three proven seniors starting at linebacker.

Freshmen defensive tackles Kurt Hinish and Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa could get some playing time. Notre Dame should do nothing but completely dominate Temple in the trenches on their way to a big win.
