3. Brandon Wimbush and Josh Adams are too much for Temple’s defense

Temple only faces two opponents with an extremely talented backfield duo. One of those teams is South Florida. The other is Notre Dame. USF has Quinton Flowers and D’Ernest Johnson to break apart opposing AAC defenses.

Brandon Wimbush and Josh Adams can beat opposing defenses in multiple ways. Adams could easily rush for more than 1,200 yards this year since he is the clear starter in the Irish backfield. Wimbush has a dual threat ability that’s hard to prepare for.

The Owls gave up 34 points to a mediocre Wake Forest offense to conclude the 2016 season, in the Military Bowl. Notre Dame has a lot more skill on offense than the Demon Deacons. Wimbush has weapons at every skill position to get the ball to.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone if Adams rushes for more than 150 yards in this game. Junior RB Dexter Williams could steal some red zone carries. Wimbush could also keep the ball a few times. Both those factors could take away from Adams’ touchdown total. Expect a huge game from ND’s offense.
