No. 2 Ohio State beat Indiana 49-21

Offense: C
Defense: A-
Overall: B

So many “experts” expects Ohio State’s offense to be top tier because J.T. Barrett is a senior quarterback. The real MVP for the Buckeyes is the defense. It was not until the defense shut Indiana down that the offense started to make real headway.

Offensively, there was a major bright spot, true freshman running back J.K. Dobbins. I believe the Buckeyes have found a new workhorse. He finished the game with 29 carries for 181 yards. The passing game was not impressive, but the wide receivers were. The Buckeyes receivers were dynamic after the catch, and blew the game open midway through the third quarter.

Defensively, the Buckeyes were good. Unlike most of the other top 10 teams, Ohio State played a conference opponent and not a cupcake. Indiana plays a fast-paced spread offense, which is tough to stop.

Overall, it was a solid performance by the Buckeyes. Therefore, it will be an epic matchup next week versus Oklahoma.
