2. The Big Ten is pretty good

It seemed like we could not get away from the middle tier and bottom tier Big Ten teams scaring top 25 teams this week. The Maryland Terrapins took down the No. 23 ranked Texas Longhorns. Rutgers gave the No. 8 Washington Huskies a real scare for the first half.

Purdue beating Louisville would’ve been one of the biggest upsets of the season. Depending on how the Cardinals do this year, losing to Purdue could cost them their shot at the Playoff. Yet, Louisville played in many close games in 2016.

It’s almost guaranteed that the Big 10 will put a team in the Playoff. Whether it be the Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan Wolverines, Wisconsin Badgers, or Penn State Nittany Lions, the Big Ten has a lot of quality teams that could make the field of the top four.

Purdue was the only team that Louisville has to face from the Big 10 this year. They’re probably pretty happy they don’t have to face any members from the conference again during the regular season.
