2. Jim Mora’s job is completely safe

No more talk of Jim Mora on the hot seat, according to those completely overreacting about Sunday night’s comeback win. The Bruins’ head coach’s job seems to be safe, at least for now, but there are some who believe he can do no wrong for the rest of the year.

After a win like that, the program is back on track, right? Wrong. Give it more time. The Bruins still have to face a tough Pac-12 slate and that includes road games against Washington, Stanford, Utah and USC. If the Bruins can somehow win two of those, he will be around for another season, at least.

However, just because his quarterback engineered an epic comeback win over the Aggies doesn’t mean he’s going to survive until 2018. If not for Rosen, the Bruins likely would have lost that game, and that’s not saying the team didn’t have enough talent to make a comeback, but it takes a special quarterback to stay confident while down 34 points.

Mora still mismanaged the run game and allowed his team to fall behind 38-10 at halftime. Maybe he made the right adjustments in the locker room or gave Rosen a crazy-inspiring pep talk, but it seems like the win was more on his players not giving up. Not out of the woods yet, Jim.
