Scouting Report

The South Carolina Gamecocks played a very tightly contested game against the NC State Wolfpack in Week 1. South Carolina squeaked out a close victory over NC State behind a three touchdown effort from quarterback Jake Bentley.

NC State was expected to do big things this year. South Carolina has more of an underdog role since Steve Spurrier left the program. They should have a huge say in what happens in the SEC East this year.

The Florida Gators did not look as advertised against the Michigan Wolverines. Tennessee is yet to be seen, but they have not lived up to expectations the last two seasons. And while the Georgia Bulldogs played great vs. the Appalachian State Mountaineers, South Carolina could finish at the top of the division with them.
