3. The Gamecocks are for real

If there was a fantasy college football draft, there are not too many people that would get drafted higher than Deebo Samuel of the South Carolina Gamecocks.

He was all over the place during his game against the NC State Wolfpack. He scored a total of three touchdowns, including an one-handed snag and a game-opening 97-yard kick return touchdown. Samuel and his teammates looked really good this weekend. Most improved honors go to the big boys on both lines for the Gamecocks. The OL and the DL were horrible last year and this year they are starting off on a great foot.

The offense looked sounded with Jake Bentley at the helm for the whole year. But the reason why I think the Gamecocks are the SEC East best is because of what the rest of the division did this weekend.

Florida looked bad, really bad. Jacob Eason, Georgia’s starting quarterback, is hurt and will be hurt for some time. Kentucky had big trouble against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. And Tennessee’s Quinten Normady showed he was good quarterback, but I would still take Bentley and his weapons over the Volunteers.
