In the second year of a two year series, Washington State and Boise State meet in Pullman, Washington. Last year, Boise State pulled off a three-point victory at home and this year it is a 10-point underdog on the road.

The Cougars’ air-raid offense is tough to defend and the Broncos young secondary will have their hands full. The key will be to force some turnovers, which they got three of them last week against Troy. They’ll need a similar performance this week.

On offense, the Broncos have a quarterback with a cannon for an arm, Brett Rypien. He was off his game against Troy, only throwing for 160 yards and no touchdowns. However, he has proven previously he is one of the best quarterbacks in the Mountain West.

The one thing Boise has on their side is history. If they beat Washington State, it will be the fourth year in a row they have defeated at least one Pac-12 team.

In 2016, it was the Cougars and Oregon State. In 2015 it was Washington and the year before that it was Arizona. The Broncos have a knack for showing up with their best against the best competition and Saturday could be no different if the Cougars are not careful.
