A huge early season Pac-12 game awaits this weekend when Stanford travels to Southern California to meet up with the Trojans. This game is a potential Pac-12 Championship Game preview. The Trojans are a 6 point favorite.

The Cardinal had two weeks two prepare as they last played Aug. 26 and looked impressive in their domination of Rice. The Trojans did not look as impressive last week against Western Michigan and needed all four quarters to put away the Broncos.

The key to Stanford winning will be to control the clock and keep their balanced offensive attack on the field as long as possible to wear down the Trojan defense. Running back Bryce Love will probably get more carries than he did against Rice. He only had 13 but ran for 180 yards. If he comes close in yardage against the Trojans, the Cardinal will have a good chance in this one.

If USC struggles again like they did against Western Michigan, Stanford will make them pay this time around. They will not be intimidated by playing in the Coliseum. This would be an upset only because of the Trojans are the favored team by the odds, but in reality, Stanford looks like the better team coming into this one. Either way, it should be a quality game between two Pac-12 contenders.
