5. TCU out gains Arkansas by more than 100 yards

This is a Big 12 offense that we’re talking about, isn’t it? The Horned Frogs fit the profile of an air-raid offensive attack much better than the Razorbacks measure up to the stingy defenses of some of their SEC brethren. TCU averaged 31 points per game a year ago and ended Week 1 with the fifth highest scoring offense in the nation. They blew out Jackson State 63-0 at home.

Arkansas is not Jackson State, but they aren’t Alabama either. Jackson State tallied 65 yards. That’s a bit absurd. The Razorbacks carved out 415 yards against Florida A&M last week. That’s probably roughly around the same mark that they’ll reach this week, which means the Frogs would have to get close to 550 total yards to make the math work.

In 2016 these two schools played to a 41-38 Arkansas victory in overtime. That’s a lot of points produced by a lot of yards and only the rough semblances of a defense from either side.

Trailing early and throwing down the field often a lot make that even more believable. This game is going to come close to 1,000 yards of total offense, but the Razorbacks are going to prove that it’s not what it says in the stat sheet that matters, it’s the scoreboard has the final say.
