3. Austin Allen doesn’t finish the game

Arkansas quarterback Austin Allen was sacked twice last week against Florida A&M. It felt like the beleaguered passer spent a whole lot more time on the ground than that.

The Horned Frogs registered five  sacks in their season opener and 15 tackles for a loss. While the Big 12 might not be renown for their secondaries, the TCU front seven is off to a good start this season.

Allen is as tough as they come. He took more than his fair share of blows last week and is coming off a season in which he was sacked more frequently than the Razorback defense recorded sacks of their own. All it takes is one hit to the wrong shoulder for Allen to think twice about staying in the game.

Honestly, watching Allen go out their game after game is mind-boggling. He either has nerves of steel, a death wish or both. The best case scenario for the Razorbacks is a big lead. If they get far enough ahead they’ll be able to trust their three-headed monster in the backfield to suck up the clock and keep Allen, or backup Cole Kelly, upright.
