Arkansas Football: 5 bold predictions vs TCU in Week 2
2. Kenny Hill implodes
Kenny Hill hasn’t lived up to his auspicious start that took place at Texas A&M three years ago. In the 2014 season opener against South Carolina he threw for 511 yards and three touchdowns without any interceptions. He would go two more games without a pick, since then he has thrown at least one interception in 15 of his last 19 games.
Saturday is the day. Kenny Hill blows up, and not in the good way. In two quarters of play Hill throws four interceptions, forcing TCU head coach Gary Patterson to pull the ripcord on Hill’s afternoon.
Adding insult to injury, the Frogs’ backup quarterback Shawn Robinson will dazzle, just like he did the last weekend in TCU’s victory over Jackson State. He was 5-of-7 passing for 94 yards and two touchdowns. He’ll put up similar numbers against a Razorbacks secondary that is good, but nowhere close to elite.
Robinson will do so well in fact, that Hill isn’t going to get his job back next week and will be relegated to the bench for the second time in his career. A bad afternoon will quickly turn into a bad season for Hill.
