The best hope that the Big 12 has to send a team to the College Football Playoff is the Oklahoma Sooners. However, for OU to have much of a chance at a Playoff berth, they need to reverse their fortunes and get some revenge on Ohio State.

The Buckeyes went into Norman and dominated the Sooners last year. Ohio State walked away with a 45-24 victory after a rough performance from OU. Now, senior quarterback Baker Mayfield is a Heisman contender with a renewed sense of motivation.

Oklahoma carries a top 5 ranking into a game that could position them in the top two if they emerge victorious. First-year head coach Lincoln Riley could also use a win to build some confidence entering Big 12 play in a few weeks.

This could end up being the biggest game on tap for OU in 2017. They’re in the national spotlight in the biggest game of the weekend.
