College Football Week 2 Schedule: 3 Under-the-Radar Games
This week’s under-the-radar games feature a few big name college football teams that have taken a step back. Here’s three games to watch on Week 2.
Last week’s under-the-radar games brought a mixed bag of results in Week One.
The Iowa Hawkeyes made easy work of the Wyoming Cowboys, 24-3. The Hawkeyes’ defense held quarterback Josh Allen at bay all game long. Allen had 174 passing yards but two interceptions in the game.
The Colorado Buffaloes almost shutout the Colorado State Rams in their season opener. They won the game 17-3. A field goal late in the fourth quarter kept the Rams from going scoreless in the contest.
The Boston College Golden Eagles, on the other hand, got everything they could handle from the Northern Illinois Huskies. They pulled out a 23-20 victory on the road against the Huskies. Quarterback Anthony Brown had 191 passing yards and two passing touchdowns in his debut as starter. Wide receiver Michael Walker had eight receptions for 50 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The Golden Eagles defense held Northern Illinois quarterback Ryan Graham to 15-for-38 passing (39.5 percent) for 190 passing yards and two passing touchdowns while forcing an interception. The defense turned things up a notch to pull out a three point victory.
This week’s matchups bring a different dynamic to the fold. The Iowa Hawkeyes are back under-the-radar along with the Michigan State Spartans and Oregon Ducks.
