1. Baker ‘Magic’ Mayfield

Baker Mayfield went to New York for the Heisman Trophy Ceremony last year. He left ranked third and also empty-handed.

Mayfield’s 2017 Heisman moment is this Saturday against the Buckeyes. They have a great defense and it’s also a chance to avenge a bad loss from last year.

So far this year, Mayfield has thrown more touchdowns (3) than incompletions (1).

Yes, the game was against UTEP but he still had to do it. But this Baker magic goes all the way back to Oct. 1, 2016. The TCU Horned Frogs were the first opponents on the Sooners’ 11-game winning streak. And since then Mayfield has been nothing short of magical.

In this winning streak, he has thrown for under 250 yards only twice. His completion percentage has also never dipped below 60 percent. He also has only had one multiple-interception game.

If Mayfield, can get rolling and  in his groove not too many teams in the nation can hang with Oklahoma’s high-powered offense.
