3. Santos Ramirez is an NFL talent

The only interception of the game was notched by Arkansas defensive back Santos Ramirez. This is a different Ramirez than we saw in year’s past. While he was a key piece of the Arkansas secondary over the last two seasons, he could be the focal point this year.

Ramirez is not considered to be a known NFL Draft prospect if he declared at the end of the season. He does need at least one more year to show what he can do. If he can prove his worth in the Razorback defense, NFL scouts will take notice.

Ramirez has the size that any NFL team would love to have out of a cornerback. At 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, he has the tools to stick to NFL level receivers in coverage. He does get to play some of the better receivers in the country in the SEC West.

Arkansas is not known for regularly churning out NFL-talents at defensive back. Ramirez is a different talent, though. He could be successful at the next level and it’s only a matter of time before people start realizing that.
