Head coach Jeff Brohm is known for his offensive prowess, showing it off when he was the head coach at Western Kentucky. Well now he has brought it to West Lafayette and the Boilermakers did not disappoint Friday night, racking up 558 total yards in a 44-21 win over the Ohio Bobcats.

Quarterback David Blough was accurate on the night, going 11 for 13 for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns. Running back Tario Fuller tallied 142 yards on the ground and a score. Now Purdue will hit the road to see if they can get a winning streak going when they travel to Missouri.

The Cornhuskers trailed Oregon 42-14 at halftime, but then rattled off 21 unanswered points. The comeback would be cut short as quarterback Tanner Lee‘s pass was intercepted by the Ducks on the Huskers last drive of the game. The Huskers gave up over 560 yards to the Ducks and turned over the ball 4 times.Nebraska certainly deserves some credit for hanging in there and not packing it in at halftime, however the defense must improve if they are going to compete in the Big Ten this season. Nebraska returns home to host Northern Illinois next week.

After an emotional defeat at home to Ohio State a week ago, the Hoosiers were looking to get on the right track and they did with a 34-17 victory at Virginia. Quarterback Richard Lagow was benched after a terrible start to the game, going 3 for 10 and throwing an interception. Redshirt freshman Peyton Ramsey was much better in relief, completing 16 of 20 passes for 173 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. Is there a possible quarterback controversy in Bloomington? I think Lagow will get the start next week against Florida International, but it’s clear that head coach Tom Allen has a capable option behind him.
