Oklahoma State is still playing second fiddle to Oklahoma. This week, the Pokes can establish themselves as real challengers to the Sooners by notching a big win, for the second consecutive season, against the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Quarterback Mason Rudolph and wide receiver James Washington are poised to put up some crazy numbers this year. Head coach Mike Gundy has one of his best Oklahoma State teams, if not the best, during his tenure in Stillwater.

Few expected the Sooners to defeat the Ohio State Buckeyes. Even less expected them to win by a 15-point margin. The Sooners went into Columbus and thoroughly dominated the Ohio State offense.

Senior quarterback Baker Mayfield looks like the Heisman favorite right now, alongside Louisville’s Lamar Jackson. Mayfield threw for 386 yards and three touchdowns on his way to possibly his best performance as a Sooner.

First-year head coach Lincoln Riley is proving that the retirement of former head coach Bob Stoops did not faze OU one bit. OU has a much easier opponent in Week 3 as they face the Tulane Green Wave.
