Wisconsin football: 3 bold predictions for Week 3 at BYU
By Zach Bigalke
3. Wisconsin will clamp down on BYU offense in blowout
With BYU likely turning to redshirt sophomore Beau Hoge at quarterback, they will become even more predictable on offense. The secondary will shut things down and makes Hoge’s first start a miserable one, as he throws a couple of picks and takes at least four sacks. But the misery will extend to all aspects of the Cougars offense.
Wisconsin is especially going to key in on BYU’s running game. LSU held the Cougars to negative yardage, and they largely abandoned the run against both the Tigers and Utah. Since putting up 98 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries against Portland State, Squally Canada has done little against tough Power Five opponents.
The Tigers held Canada to eight yards on five carries. He had just three yards on a single carry in the loss to Utah. He has taken a backseat to Ula Tolutau, the former Wisconsin recruit who ultimately stayed in his home state. Tolutau will have a hard time gaining ground against the team that had him locked in until the eleventh hour.

Look for Wisconsin to hold BYU under 300 total yards of offense and force at least four turnovers in a five-touchdown victory over the Cougars. This could be a win in the neighborhood of 52-17, as the No. 10 Badgers try to make a statement to voters after falling a spot in last week’s AP Top 25.
