The Virginia Cavaliers whiffed at a chance to start out their season undefeated with a quality victory over a Power Five opponent included. Indiana’s backup quarterback Peyton Ramsey came in relief for Richard Lagow and tossed two touchdowns on the way to a 34-17 Hoosier victory.

This week, Virginia gets the Connecticut Huskies at home at Scott Stadium. UVA is a 10-point favorite in a game they should win. Former ECU transfer quarterback Kurt Benkert has played well so far. The defense has steadily lagged behind.

Benkert is averaging just over 260 passing yards and two touchdowns per game this year. The rushing attack needs to catch up. If not, the Hoos could be staring a 1-2 record right in the face before entering their ACC slate.

UConn’s only victory so far came against Holy Cross, by only seven points. This is not a good team that UVA is up against this week. Taking care of business should be no problem for Benkert and the Cavaliers.
