Not to say that all pro-style quarterbacks that Tennessee has put on the field over the last decade have led them to successful seasons, but most of them have been successful individually. With Jones at the helm, the Vols tend to put more talent on the field all-around.
However, whether you look at Tyler Bray, Jonathan Crompton, or even as far back as Peyton Manning, Tennessee has sent quite a few pro-style quarterbacks to the NFL. Dormady could be the next in line.
While Joshua Dobbs was more of a dual threat quarterback, he was still very successful over the last two years in Knoxville. Dormady is a vastly different quarterback than Dobbs. Yet, if he can be efficient through SEC play, he’ll be just as successful.
