The Week 3 college football injury report has a handful of big names that might not see action on Saturday. Here’s what the report looks like this week.

The college football injury report for this week doesn’t have as many season-ending injuries, but Week Three has a few matchups that could fare better with key players in them.

A couple of teams in the SEC kick off their conference openers while there’s one big matchup atop the ACC among two top-ranked teams. Here’s a look at the players hit with the injury bug this week.

WR James Robinson, Florida

Florida Gators wide receiver James Robinson has still yet to make his on-field debut. Robinson is out indefinitely with a heart condition. He will be unavailable to face the 24th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers this week.

He will be unavailable to face the 24th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers and it could be possible that he redshirts the 2017 season. Robinson was a member of the Gators’ 2017 recruiting class this past summer.

CB Jaire Alexander, Louisville

Louisville Cardinals cornerback Jaire Alexander is still trying to return to the field. Alexander missed last week’s game against North Carolina and is questionable in Week 3 with a leg injury.

He surely wishes to play against No. 3 Clemson this week but health is more important than anything else. Alexander hopes to play this week but if he’s unable to go, Ronald Walker will continue to fill in for him.

LB Arden Key, LSU

Linebacker hybrid Arden Key has still yet to make his season debut for the LSU Tigers, but he’s almost there in Week Three. Key is still listed as probable this week for their conference opener against Mississippi State with a shoulder injury.

Key is expected to make his season debut but head coach Ed Orgeron doesn’t expect him to play the whole game. True freshman K’Lavon Chaisson will get plenty of snaps at his spot as well.

LB Devin Bush, Michigan

Michigan Wolverines linebacker Devin Bush is currently listed as probable in Week Three with a knee injury against the Air Force Falcons. He’s expected to play but it’s an injury worth mentioning.

Bush leads the Wolverines in sacks (3.0) and tackles for loss (4.0) this season. He’s been a key playmaker for the Michigan defense in 2017 and will be much-needed for their continued success.

TE Mark Andrews, Oklahoma

Oklahoma Sooners tight end Mark Andrews is probable this week against Tulane with a knee injury. Andrews left the Sooners’ game early against the Ohio State Buckeyes, but he’s expected to play in Week Three.

Andrews is second on the team in receiving yards (157) and tied for second in receiving touchdowns (1) this season. He’s been a key target for quarterback Baker Mayfield this season. Without him, Mayfield could look to fullback Devin Flowers to lighten the blow.

RB Sony Michel, Georgia

Georgia Bulldogs running back Sony Michel is expected to be available in Week Three but he’s listed as probable with an ankle injury against Samford.

Michel has 29 carries for 160 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns so far in 2017. He had 73 rushing yards and a touchdown last week against Notre Dame before suffering the injury.

Michel is one-half of the monster backfield that is comprised of himself and Nick Chubb. Chubb has 28 carries for 159 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.

DT Marlon Tuipulotu, USC

USC Trojans defensive tackle Marlon Tuipulotu is listed as doubtful for Week Three against Texas with a knee injury. He is dealing with a sprained MCL he suffered in the Stanford game last week.

Tuipulotu has two tackles this season and made his first career start against the Stanford Cardinal in Week Two. He is just a true freshman. The injury could keep him out for 1-3 weeks.
