4. Wake Forest exposed Boston College

Make no mistakes, Wake Forest is a dramatically improved football program. They made it to a bowl game last year when they were left for dead in the ACC. So far, they have two convincing victories in the first two weeks.

Wake also has an opportunity to notch another against the Utah State Aggies this weekend. It’s hard to believe that many of the games that the Demon Deacons win this year will be more impressive than the one against BC.

The Eagles entered last week as a slight favorite over the Demon Deacons. Wake Forest blew that spread out of the water with a 24-point margin of victory. Their defense picked off Anthony Brown three times contributing to the lopsided score.

If Wake Forest showed anything, it’s that this BC offense has some major flaws. Brown is very turnover prone. And if the Eagles aren’t able to get anything going in the passing game then it’s easier to stop the ground game.
