3. Fighting Irish motivated after Georgia loss

Notre Dame was the favorite over Georgia last week. Following an impressive victory over the Temple Owls, the Irish were poised to give the Dawgs as big of a challenge as they’ll get all season.

Yet, Georgia emerged as the victors. The game could have gone either way and that’ tough to swallow for a Notre Dame team that played in so many close games last year. Seven of Notre Dame’s eight losses came by eight points or less.

Losing so many games by one possession can start getting to the heads of certain players. Eventually, fortunes will turn more in Notre Dame’s favor. This is the type of game that they really start to rebuild their confidence.

It will take a huge effort from the Boston College defense to make this contest any sort of a battle on the scoreboard. These two programs look to be headed in opposite directions. After BC made a bowl game last year, they might not even get bowl eligible this year.
