2. Brandon Wimbush responds with a huge game

In Week 1 against Temple, Wimbush totaled 290 yards and three touchdowns. He looked like the type of quarterback that can change the way opponents have to prepare. Wimbush is also the type of talent that can make Notre Dame fans forget about the departure of DeShone Kizer faster.

BC allowed Northern Illinois quarterback Ryan Graham nearly 300 total yards and two touchdowns. And, Wake Forest quarterback John Wolford played a close to mistake-free game last week as he completed 13 of his 19 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown.

Wimbush is a much more talented quarterback than Graham and Wolford. BC has a tall task in front of them to solve the matchup problem he creates. Wimbush gives Notre Dame a versatile backfield that makes for some dangerous option-plays.

Expect Wimbush to go easily go over 300 yards and possibly three touchdowns in this one. He’s a good enough quarterback to get Notre Dame ahead early and let the run game take over for the rest of the contest.
