3. J.T. Barrett will have a bounce back game

I know a lot of Buckeye fans are down on J.T. Barrett, and rightfully so, but the senior has built up enough equity with Urban Meyer that I doubt he will lose his spot this week. I’ve been on the Barrett bandwagon, but the more I believed in him, the more regression he has shown and he hasn’t looked right since he was under Tom Herman (current Texas head coach and former Ohio State offensive coordinator).

Barrett used to show so much control in the pocket, now he delivers the ball late and doesn’t throw unless the player is wide open. He played terrible against the Sooners and while the receivers made a couple of drops (mainly Terry McLaurin doping a sure touchdown) it was the play of the senior that needs to improve.

The starting dual-threat was once a player who had Heisman hopes coming into the season and now he has fans screaming for Dwayne Haskins, Joe Burrow and Tate Martell. He didn’t throw for over 200 yards against Oklahoma and only had 25 yards passing at the half. Because of the lack of passing game, the defense caused two turnovers in the first half for nothing. With that being said Barrett will torch Army for at least 250 passing, 50 yards rushing and three total touchdowns.

For one week everyone will be happy, but will it be fool’s gold?
