Alabama Football: 3 takeaways from the Tide’s win over Colorado State
1. Colorado State will challenge Boise State
Many fans forget how talented the Mountain West’s Mountain division really is. Air Force just gave Michigan a run for three-plus quarters. The Boise State Broncos are always a good to great type of program and they gave the Wazzou Cougars a tough game last week. Utah State has been a good program for the past couple of years too.

The Wyoming Cowboys aren’t good but at least Josh Allen is there and he plays well against Group of Five programs. New Mexico has an amazing offense but with Bob Davie under investigation they might be shut down for the year with the amount of distractions going on.
The Colorado State Rams are ranked 42nd in the S&P+ but that’s not the best team in the Mountain division. The Boise State Broncos are 29th in the S&P+ and are sitting at 2-1. The Rams and Broncos will meet up on Nov. 11 as the second-to-last regular season game for the Rams. If Stevens can stay healthy, I think Mike Bobo can keep the Rams on fire and scoring points. They scored on Bama, mop up time or not.

Stevens’ Rams will give the Broncos a good fight and no program is coming out of the Mountain division undefeated. With Brett Rypien struggling Montell Cozart has taken over pounding New Mexico with 15-of-19 passing for 137 yards and two touchdowns, adding 71 yards on the ground with another score. Boise State gave up 47 to Wazzou and while Stevens isn’t quite Falk he is an NFL talent that Boise will struggle to hold down.
