College Football: Which hot seat coaches are in the most trouble after Week 3?
Many were surprised when Kevin Sumlin made it through the first two weeks of the season. Any time you blow a 34-point lead against the UCLA Bruins and then nearly lose to Nicholls State, you’re very lucky to still have a job.
However, this performance from Texas A&M, pulling off 31 straight points against the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns, proved something could be changing with the Aggies. Texas A&M should give Sumlin at least two more weeks to show how he can change this program for the better.
Next week, the Aggies face the Arkansas Razorbacks in their SEC opener. It’s a huge chance for Sumlin to keep building momentum for this team. However, a loss would likely put Sumlin’s job on the line and he could be fired right after the game.

Sumlin’s situation is one we have to watch each week moving forward. The nearly unbelievable loss to UCLA in their season opener put him on such thin ice that it will be very tough to recover from.
