3. Myles Gaskin is separating himself from Lavon Coleman

Senior running back Lavon Coleman has had a rough going to start the season. Coleman totaled just 65 rushing yards through the first two weeks. Meanwhile, junior running back Myles Gaskin is one of the best in the Pac-12, and showed that in the early season games.

Gaskin has steadily improved his stat line since the start of the season. Washington did not have to rely on Gaskin much during the Montana game. However, they will need Gaskin to step up in a big way during the Pac-12 portion of the schedule.

Part of the reason for the struggles from Coleman seem to be coming from the offensive line. Browning was sent scrambling through much of the Week 1 game against Rutgers and Coleman and Gaskin cannot find as much running room as they did last year.

Gaskin finished the game with 56 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries. Coleman finished the game with only 13 yards on seven carries. Both running backs will be the featured rushers on offense. Gaskin will get the bulk of the carries.
