Arkansas Football: 10 bold predictions for Hogs in SEC play
9. Arkansas beats LSU for the second time in three seasons
LSU’s loss to Mississippi State last week shocked the college football world. Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen has his Bulldogs on track to really compete in the SEC West this year and maybe even have a Heisman finalist in Nick Fitzgerald.
However, LSU displayed some key flaws that could cost them this year. Too much reliance on the running backs has been an issue for the Tigers over the last few seasons. Quarterback Danny Etling did not play well.
First-year offensive coordinator Matt Canada does not look to be making much of a difference either after the departure of Cam Cameron. This is something that the Razorbacks can take advantage of in a big way.
Last year, LSU dominated the Hogs on their way to a 38-10 victory. In 2015, Arkansas took down LSU by a 17-point margin. It’s a great chance for the Hogs to notch a huge win in a big rivalry game, jumping on the opportunity of beating LSU in a down season.
