5. Santos Ramirez gets NFL Draft hype

One of the more consistent players in the Arkansas secondary is Santos Ramirez. Against TCU, Ramirez was the only defensive back for the Razorbacks to pick off senior quarterback Kenny Hill. It could have been a game changer if the offense had converted.

Not only is Ramirez one of the defensive leaders for Arkansas, he’s also one of their best talents. There’s some very high-level wide receivers in the SEC West and Ramirez could be in charge of helping the corners lock a lot of them down.

Possibly the best part of the Arkansas defense is their safeties and the combination of Ramirez and senior free safety Josh Liddell is huge. Opposing offense have to worry about Ramirez and Liddell in both the run and pass game.

There’s a chance that Ramirez garners All-SEC honors this year and that would bring immediate attention to him from NFL scouts. However, he needs a strong finish to the season for that to happen.
