You’re still undefeated?!?

It only takes six wins to reach a bowl game, a very low bar for college football teams and here we are three weeks into the season and there are a few teams who are half way to their goal of reaching a bowl game. Three of those team have games this weekend that had bigger stakes than anybody could’ve imagined.

While Colorado had a great 2016 season culminating in a Pac-12 title game appearance, there were very low expectations for the Buffaloes entering the 2017 season and now Colorado is undefeated heading into a “much bigger than anticipated” game against reigning Pac-12 Champion, Washginton.

Kentucky host’s Florida in a key SEC East matchup, I wish I was joking about this. A Kentucky victory would make the Wildcats the leader in the SEC East. With the lack of consistency from the Florida offense, I would not be shocked if Kentucky ends up winning that game.

These two cases are just examples of the craziness that the early portion of the college football season has given us. Did you see Vanderbilt at 3-0 and hosting Alabama in a battle of SEC undefeated teams? I sure didn’t and now it’s happening and I don’t know how I feel about it.
