NFL Mock Draft 2018: Complete first round after Week 3
The Los Angeles Chargers didn’t do poorly with their pass-protection in Week 2, rather it was the running game or lack thereof that held them back. Phillip Rivers was himself, goin 31-of-39 for 331 passing yards and a passing touchdown.
It was 44 net rushing yards that was hard to look at. Running back Melvin Gordon did have a rushing touchdown, but one thing stood out.
They’re in need of some offensive line help and whether they draft Connor Williams or Mike McGlinchey now is up in the air.
An injury to offensive tackle Connor Williams has moved Notre Dame’s Mike McGlinchey up on this respective draft board. McGlinchey’s decision to return for his senior year on the gridiron is proving to pay off so far, as the Fighting Irish are 2-1.
The 6-foot-8, 315-pound offensive tackle has 26 straight starts and one of the big reasons the Notre Dame offense is having success running the ball. The Fighting Irish are averaging 330 rushing yards on the ground, well up from their average of 163.3 rushing yards per game last season.
